Starting Churches
-
Recruiting Missionaries (Mobilizing Long-Term Missionaries)

YES. MSC Missionaries who accept a position of 12 months or longer and/or accept a "career" MSC position will be included as missionaries in the missions personnel count at the point of placement (the date of formal assignment by NAMB)
CAN MSC MISSIONARIES WORK WHILE THEY ARE SERVING?
-
YES.These people are called TENTMAKERS. Either one or both of a couple can be employed and serve through the MSC Tentmaker program. All characteristics and qualifications are the same. It is the responsibility of the missionary to obtain employment if moving to a new location, although the supervisor and other interested persons may assist. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) can assist in obtaining Tentmaker assignments and employment.
