Give a bottle of water and an appropriate note to residents. Write down neighbors’ prayer concerns. Turn these in to the church office to be placed in the prayer room. After about 2 wks, return to ask for an update; offer to continue praying. This could involve the Special Friends Sunday School Class. They could accompany the other adults and present the water. However, any group of adults could do this.

Tip: Have a mixed group, Men and Ladies in case residents might feel uncomfortable—let the children help too. Put up a couple of "Kindness In Progress" signs while you work.

Mow the yard, rake and edge. Leave the owner/s a zip lock bag of cookies and a Kindness Card. If you want to, knock and ask the resident if they would bless you by allowing you to give them a helping hand with the yard work. If not, just start working.

One-on-One tutoring for individuals (mostly older adults) can change peoples’ lives and help them to be able to function better in society through literacy. Should be an on-going project. Special training is required. (Saturday, April 30th) If unable to attend training, Carol Ratliff will do a special training class for groups of at least 10. Books are available through the center.
